Our Reward System

Cove core values at the heart of all we do

At Cove, we are very proud of our school, its ethos and of our House system. Our rewards policy is closely entwined with the success of our four Houses. Students are actively encouraged to get involved in as many class discussions, extra-curricular clubs and sporting events as they can. Not only is this a way of learning and developing new skills, but also a way to win points for their House.

Students who display our core values of :

receive a compliment card, worth three House Points, along with an email home so that parents are kept up-to-date with their child’s achievements.

Every House Point awarded goes towards the House Cup - the winning House of which is announced and rewarded at the end of the year. Through Year Group and House Assemblies, we openly and consistently promote students’ success, both inside and outside school, progress and academic achievements.

Students who consistently prove themselves to be outstanding members of the community are invited to a variety of events in recognition of their hard work and success.

Each week, Tutors select one student from their Tutor Group to be ‘Tutee of the Week.’ This is another opportunity for students to show off their achievements both academically and personally.

The Grand Prize for Tutee of the Week comes at the end of the school year in the form of a ticket to a surprise event.
