Mental Health Awareness week
Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from Monday 11th - Friday 17th May 2026 and is being celebrated this year with the theme of Action.
Over the coming days, here is a summary of how we will recognise it at Cove School:
-
Character at Cove - Viewing and discussing a PowerPoint presentation in Tutor discussing Mental Health - created by Mind.
-
Posters will be displayed in classrooms and offices.
-
We will be watching videos during tutor this week, featuring different individuals and their stories regarding their Mental Health.
-
We will remind pupils of who they can reach out to in school, and the theme of 'Trusted Adults'.
-
There will be a quiz on Friday which will be on the theme of Mental Health.
-
Pupils are encouraged to create a Mental Health Board in their Tutor Rooms over the coming weeks.
Mental Health Awareness Week has grown into one of the largest campaigns of its kind since starting in 2001, providing a platform to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health.
