The Golden Easel

The Cove Art department is proud to introduce our Golden Easel, now taking pride of place in Reception!

Oliver R (Year 8) has been awarded the Golden Easel for his outstanding artwork. His pepper fineliner drawing demonstrates confident and expressive mark-making, showing excellent control and attention to detail. This was followed by beautifully smooth, carefully layered watercolour work, revealing a strong understanding of tone, depth, and technique. Oliver’s creativity, patience, and dedication to refining his skills truly stood out, making his work a pleasure to view. A well-deserved achievement. Well done, Oliver!

#Cove School 10 August

As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we want to congratulate all of our students on their hard work, determination and achievements. We hope you have a wonderful summer break, and we can't wait to welcome you back in September for another exciting year at Cove School!

GCSE Examination Results Day - Thursday 20th August 2026. We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 11 students to school on Thursday 20th August 2026 to collect their GCSE examination results. Results will be available for collection from 9:30am.

Congratulations to Wellington House, our End of Term House Cup winners. We are incredibly proud of all our students, however a special shout out to Wellington. Well done, Wellington House!

As the school year comes to an end, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could donate any school uniform that your child has outgrown to reception. This way, we are able to reduce waste and give uniform a second life.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Headteacher, Dr Andrew King, after 12 years of dedicated service to our school. It is an emotional day for our whole school community as we thank Dr King for his leadership, commitment, and the lasting impact he has made over the years. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done and the difference he has made to the lives of so many pupils, staff, and families. We wish Dr King every happiness and success in the future. He will always be a valued part of our school family and will be greatly missed.

We are incredibly proud of our amazing students in the Gardening club!! 🌼🌷🌺 Gardening club started three months ago and thanks to their hard work and dedication, our school grounds are looking much brighter, and more vibrant. The main aim of our club is to bring students closer to nature and encourage them to look after our school environment. Environment Care - Taking responsibility for keeping our school grounds beautiful! Hands-on Learning - Discovering how ecosystems work by planting and weeding, Pride in School - Creating a vibrant space that the entire school community can enjoy. From September our gardening club will be officially open, and all students are welcome to join us! More details regarding specific dates and time will be shared at the start of the new term. If anyone would like to donate any gardening items or tools to the club they would be well received!

We celebrated the highly anticipated Cove Challenge on Monday and it was a fantastic day! The students got involved in a range of activities including making collages of their favourite teachers, a newspaper fashion show, building the strongest bridge and ping pong precision. The army even attended to put Year 10 through their paces! It was a wonderful day full of competitive spirit and determination. It was great to see everyone getting stuck in to win maximum points for their house before the academic year draws to a close.

We are all so proud of our amazing students and dedicated staff for running such an incredible sports day. New staff to the school said how amazing it is and how enthusiastic our children are throughout the day. Huge thank you to the PE team for organising.

On Wednesday afternoon, we took 100 Year 10 students to Jump In Trampoline Park in Camberley as a reward for all their hard work, effort and conduct during the Year 10 Mock Exams earlier this year. The vast majority of our Year 10 students have shown incredible commitment, resilience and determination throughout the exam period, working hard and attending additional study sessions. This trip was a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate everything they have achieved. We are so proud of the mature attitude and positive approach they have shown, and they thoroughly deserved an afternoon of fun! From bouncing across the trampolines to tackling the inflatable courses, there were smiles, laughter and plenty of friendly competition throughout the afternoon. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves, making memories with their friends and celebrating the end of a successful year together. Even the staff couldn't resist joining in on the fun! A huge well done to all of our Year 10 students for earning this reward. We hope you had an amazing time - you certainly deserved it! 🎉🏆🤸

#Cove School 16 July

On Monday 13th July, we celebrated our annual Cultural Diversity Day, with students invited to come to school wearing their national cultural dress, continuing a much-loved tradition from previous years. Throughout tutor time, students took part in a range of engaging activities, including a Cultural Diversity Treasure Hunt, which encouraged them to learn more about the many cultures represented within our school community. At lunchtime, students enjoyed a vibrant cultural showcase featuring music and dance performances by students from Years 7 to 10. The event was expertly presented by our Year 10 students, Jemila, Jude and Hannah. We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Peter Cullum, alongside Mara Makunura, representing the Pride of Rushmoor Community Awards. The day was a wonderful celebration of the rich cultural diversity within our school, and it was fantastic to see so many students taking part with such enthusiasm and pride. Thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to making the event such a success. It is always a highlight of the school calendar and a celebration that our students look forward to each year.

Last week we took a group of Year 8 students to Goodwood for The Festival of Speed. We also visited The Goodwood Education Centre, where students explored a wide range of exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects. Throughout the day students discovered the engineering and innovation behind motorsport and explored cutting-edge technology bringing STEM subject to life. Thank you to Goodwood for sponsoring this trip.
