Ski Trip 2016

On Saturday 2nd April, forty pupils set off from Cove on their way to Austria for a week of skiing. After a long but very enjoyable coach journey, we arrived at our hotel in the resort of Altenmarkt. The hotel was brilliant, complete with games rooms, cinema rooms, a free-climbing wall, a basketball court and a swimming pool. The weather treated us very well for most of the week, very warm and sunny with only a few hours of rain and sleet towards the end.

Everybody had a wonderful time learning to ski, some inventing an array of original “techniques”, and by the end of the week we were all racing around the mountain showing off our skills. We also went to the local water park, where it was Mrs Zizzi’s turn to get stuck in the slide! The toboggan run was also loved by all – but brakes? What are they for? We returned home incredibly tired but having spent a very good week away and looking forward to next year! See you there!

Well done everybody and thank you for being so well behaved.

Special thanks also go to Mr Erickson, Miss Davis, Miss Williams, Mrs Zizzi, and Ms Maple for giving up their holiday to enable the trip to take place.
